Just after barely surviving his 2024 Republican primary runoff, Tony turned around and became the only Republican to vote AGAINST a ban on taxpayer-funded transgender surgeries in the military. 

 

While 1 in 10 homeless Americans is a veteran, Tony thinks the real emergency is providing our military with sex changes. Instead of fighting for basic care, he’s funding hormone therapy and gender mutilation surgeries all while our veterans sleep on the street.

Tony has completely abandoned every shred of conservative credibility and gone woke. 

 

In 2023, he linked arms with Democrats to oppose a Republican amendment that would’ve slashed Pride Month funding from the Department of Defense. 

 

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Tony also shoveled millions of dollars in permanent annual funding for “equity initiatives” at the Department of Energy and flipped on his conservative colleagues by voting against blocking the FAA from spending money on DEI training. 

Tony Gonzales represents the border and voted to protect the cartels terrorizing it.

 

At the height of the worst border crisis in American history – with cartel executions across the river, fentanyl killing Americans in every zip code, and illegal crossings at all-time highs – Tony stood on the House floor and voted with Democrats AGAINST a Republican plan to go after the Mexican cartels.

 

He was just one of two Republicans to do so.

 

While ranchers were finding bodies on their land and Texas sheriffs begged for help, Tony backed the D.C. swamp not the people he was elected to fight for.

When a horrific shooting took place in Georgia in 2021, the left rushed to politicize it. They blamed “white supremacy” and branded it a hate crime before any investigation had concluded.

 

Tony Gonzales didn’t wait for the facts. He didn’t stand for due process. He joined the woke mob. 

 

He was just one of a handful of Republicans who voted with every single Democrat to preemptively label the attack a racist hate crime—before any trial, before any evidence, before a motive had even been confirmed. Authorities later said race was not a factor. 

 

But none of that mattered to Tony. He jumped to echo the woke narrative and signed off on a resolution full of loaded language like “hate,” “bigotry,” and “racial violence” all before the facts were in. 

Tony voted to let DACA recipients, people here illegally, work for Congress. While Texans can’t afford rent and families struggle to find good jobs, Tony fought to secure jobs for illegal immigrants on the federal payroll.

 

That’s not America first. That’s not even common sense. 

Tony has voted to send over $100 billion to Ukraine – backing not one, but two of the largest foreign aid packages in U.S. history. He has voted to fund bloated globalist bureaucracies like the UN, sent our tax dollars to Lebanon, and sided with Democrats in blocking every conservative effort to shut off the spending.

 

When Republicans tried to cut $3.5 billion in international disaster handouts, Tony voted no. When they moved to block funding for the Lebanese military, UN refugee programs, and USAID, he voted no. 

When conservatives moved to bring U.S. troops home from Syria and Somalia, he fought to keep them there.

 

And when the GOP demanded to reduce funding and audit our support to Ukraine, Tony stood in the way.

 

While his own district was overrun with cartel violence and illegal immigrant crossings, Tony was too busy funding foreign governments. 

When conservatives tried to rein in Biden’s reckless spending and bloated bureaucracy, Tony stabbed them in the back.

 

He voted for Biden’s $467.5 billion omnibus bill—a massive spending package that kept the D.C. gravy train running full speed and funded six full-year appropriations bills with zero conservative victories.

 

But Tony didn’t stop there.

 

When Republicans brought forward amendment after amendment to slash the salaries of Biden’s worst unelected ideologues, Tony, yet again, teamed up with the Democrats and voted to keep them fully funded. 

While Texans were demanding border security, Tony Gonzales wrote a letter to the Biden Administration urging them to use Laughlin Air Force Base to fly illegal immigrants to their final destinations—all under the guide of “easing congestion” in Del Rio.

 

He didn’t propose deportations. He didn’t demand stronger enforcement. Instead, he gave Biden a solution to move illegal immigrants deeper into the U.S. using our own military resources.

When the left declared war on President Trump and his supporters after January 6, Turncoat Tony helped lead the charge. 

 

In 2021, he voted to support the Pelosi-backed January 6 Commission, a hit job that smeared President Trump’s supporters as “domestic terrorists.” Instead of defending conservatives, he stood with the very people trying to criminalize them.

 

He then voted against conservative efforts to challenge the clearly questionable 2020 election results in Arizona and Pennsylvania, stabbing the America first movement in the back.  

With the oil and gas industry accounting for 2.7 million of the jobs in Texas, Tony kneeled to the climate cult.

 

Once again, Tony broke ranks and sided with Democrats to block Republican efforts to stop the unchecked expansion of solar panels and electric vehicle infrastructure and to defund green energy giveaways. He voted to protect EPA regulations that target Texas oil and gas, opposing a GOP amendment aimed at reining in the left’s climate agenda.
